On June 7 2021, the Advocates for Ohio's Future and Ohio Children's Budget Coalition (OCBC) hosted a media conference at the Ohio Statehouse to discuss the Senate Substitute Budget Bill.
When deciding their policy priorities and investments for the next state budget, leaders in the Ohio Senate had the opportunity and resources to set a visionary agenda that ensures all Ohio children, families and communities recover successfully from the economic and public health crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic and invests in a bold future for all. Instead, the budget bill currently before the Senate is out of touch with the true needs of our neighbors and strays further from the future Ohioans deserve.
